Puppy Coat question

Our Goldendoodle is 4 months old.  When will he have his adult coat?  How will we know when his puppy coat is gone?   We can't wait to see what his coat will look like!   Thanks.

He does look a lot like Ben! I hope that Ben's coat looks like Noonan's at 11 months. He's VERY cute. Thanks so much for your reply! Gayl

I think Ben's coat will get thicker and wavier as he gets older. I can see the waves on his back in your picture. He is just a baby and so cute. He looks fairly big too. Here is Thomas when he was 4 mths.

Rosei (F1) has alway had a curly coat but her adult coat came in much lighter than her puppy coat. Check out the pictures on my page and you will see how she changed from a real golden color to almost white. She's a 17 month old now, the sleeping picture was just taken the other night so that's what she looks like right now. Only clean because she had been to the groomer the day before.

Maggie (F1B) has a curly coat of black fur. She's seven months old. When she stands in the sun I can see tinges of brownish/golden highlights so I wonder what her adult coat will be.

The two dogs have the same dad but different moms and couldn't be more different in temperment and look.
