Puppy coming home soon!

Hi All,

I'm brand new here and have a lot to learn!  Our goldendoodle, Griffin, will be coming home to us in about 3 weeks. We've been visiting him fairly regularly and are already in love.  My kids (14, 10, and 8) and my husband have never owned dogs before and it has been 20+ years for me!  We're reading about housetraining, crate training, etc. and finding conflicting advice (of course).  I'd appreciate any links to articles you all feel are good quality advice for goldendoodles - we want to start out right with our little guy!

First, join puppy madness group--then go to the search box and search for discussions about crate training, house breaking, nipping, you know--all those things pups do!! There are oodles of discussions you can then read over to find answers to every question--but until you get your pup, you might not know what the questions are!

Good luck with the new baby--it will be so nice for all of you to have a puppy in the house! I am raising a litter of 7 right now and they go home two weeks from today--the time flew!!

We got a book called KISS - Keep It Simple Series - Guide to Raising a Puppy.  It's really good and a simple read.  We have read conflicting advice as well.  Let's just hope that we follow the right advice!!!!
