Thank you for your reply. Definitely put my mind at ease when I read your comment yesterday.
I agree with F about watching and waiting. Tara did something similar at about the same age. We have a retaining wall that is a little over 3 feet high and one day she took a flying leap off of it and splattered into some gravel (Tara is a mini so she was tiny). It scared the life out of me and I was sure she was damaged but she was fine. :)
I too thought she would not be the same after! Glad your baby was fine after.
It's scary when stuff like that happens, isn't it? Winnie jumped out of my arms on to the concrete when she was about that age and briefly passed out. I was so afraid that she would be brain damaged, but she is fine.
I agree with what the others have said- keep an eye on her.
I'm just impressed that your Target allows dogs! Is that a "usual" thing in your area?
Thank you for your reply. We've brought Nickie everywhere! Target, Lowes, Mall, Macy's, CVS and a bunch of other stores. Walgreens did ask if she was a service dog and I told them "yes", heh.
I am glad you posted your experience - possibly someone else will learn from your mistake. So scary. I hope all ends well.
Definitely. Next time, I'm going to tie Nickie to cart so she won't jump out.
Ginger took a flying leap off the top of the sofa when she was about 3 months old and yelped really loud when she it the floor, but in a few minutes she was right back to playing. It's so scary when something like this happens to your baby. Just keep an eye on her for a while.
