One of my friends sent me the link to the following story, which I suggest you read if you have time:

http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/44617504/ns/today-good_news/t/deforme...

This is about a pit bull puppy that was left to die in a trash can and was rescued!  AMAZING story that shows how rescuers and fosters are true angels.

Thank goodness he was rescued and now has a happy life.

WHAT KIND OF IDIOT PUTS A PUPPY IN A TRASH BIN TO SUFFER AND DIE! ugh!!!!!

What a great rescuer. I've read of some cases like this on the breeder site and very early on the use a kind of swaddling on these pups, and keep them from lying splayed out too. They seem to be pretty successful at this and the pups can be perfectly normal.
For every scumbag who would put a living, breathing puppy in the trash, there is a group of people like the angels in this story who will open their hearts and their homes to a helpless animal. That's what keeps me going.
Amen Karen!!!
wonderful way to word that K - that is exactly what keeps me going.
Erica Daniels is my hero.

Oh this makes me sick!

I have never heard of that happening to a puppy. Fine if they will not survive, put it to sleep the right way-not to die in a bag.

So sad. What a miracle though!

I know - this is one of those maddening, yet uplifting stories.

There will always be sick people in this world, but what makes me able to live with that fact is a person like Erica (in the story) or one of our DRC angels!!!

This truly is a happy ending for this puppy and another amazing story of selfless dedication to saving dogs...all dogs.  Thanks for sharing this inspirational story, Allyson.
seriously, selling puppies for $50 in a parking lot, leaving a puppy to die in a trash bag, there are some horrible people in this world. thankfully there are good people like Daniels too!
oh I HHHHHHAAAAAAAAATE stories like these. If I was ever to beat someone to a pulp, it would be one of these people who thinks animals are disposable. It makes me so sick. I'm so thankful for all these wonderful people for finding it in their hearts to save and home these beautiful animals.
I am totally NOT a violent person...but just like Sue said, I could easily beat up people who harm animals!!!
