Puppy Mill Greeting Card?????!!!!!

I saw this today while visiting an on-line card company. This is the front of a card for Labradoodles...

 

I know what my reaction was...what's yours???

I can't imagine anyone who likes dogs would appreciate this card. If it is a joke, it's very poor taste.

I just still don't get it - "truth revealed"? I am kind of taking offense to this...

Okay, calm down - just went to the site and googled "puppy mill". They make these cards for EVERY breed. Really. And next to them are all of these "STOP puppy mill" cards that they make. So this is not directly against doodles, thank goodness :) But I just don't GET it.

People submit designs to cafe pres, and even get a small portion of the profits when cafe press sells those items. I know because my husband made some random shirt design a couple of years ago, and last month we randomly got a 3 dollar check because people had bought it.

I think it is a marketplace type site. But someone must decide what items will be presented on the site. I don't really know how this type of site operates.

It does say this card was made by "1000 Goldens Dog Shop" on February 2, 2008. So this card has been around for a while. Time for it to GO!

OMD....clearly based on ignorance. They're trying to sell cards, so obviously they're clueless. Is this the same Cafe Press that produces our Doodle Calendars? If yes, I'm pretty sure one doesn't relate to the other, because they're probably completely different segments of the company...but still. They absolutely need to be educated on how offensive this is. I will definitely send an email.

Anyone can set up a CafePress shop.  They print all sorts of things -- they aren't a moral judge any more than Amazon is of what is published.  They have some rules but everyone is entitled to express their opinion and they have shops that sell politically biased stuff too.  It is one person expressing their opinion that doodles are puppy mill products and they put it on a card.  I disagree...but I don't have to buy the card or tee shirt.
