Puppy Training in Arizona

We'll be picking up a 9-week-old labradoodle puppy next week and we want to put him in training classes asap. Does anyone live in Arizona and have suggestions of great training classes you've done? We've heard that AKC Star classes are good. I also know Petsmart does classes. We want to do the basic sit, stay, come type commands, but it would also be helpful to learn things like teaching him not to jump on people and to be gentle with our other dog. I really want something that is going to be quality and worth our money.  

As a side note, I have a 3 year old dachshund so any advice on teaching a puppy to be gentle and not jump on small dogs would also be appreciated.  It's going to be a challenge since the puppy is already the size of the dachshund. He'll be a large standard size when full grown.

I'm in Chandler, AZ, and sorry to say I don't know of any training classes. I'm sure Scottsdale has plenty and at the very least PetSmart is always better than nothing to get started. Good luck
