We are planning to take a couple of day trips this summer to Lake Michigan that we are planning to take Toby with us. There are many dog friendly cities with parks, trails and dog friendly beaches. We are worried about Toby walking on the hot sand. The sand can get pretty hot over on the lake shore, we can wear shoes, but how do we protect his feet from the hot sand? Once we get out to the water we should be fine, but some of the dog beaches are quite a walk through the sand from the parking areas.  We are planning to go early in the day when it is cooler, but the sand can still heat up quickly on a sunny day...   Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Debbie, please be ready with a video camera when you put Toby in booties for the first time! Should be fun.
Oh yeah!!!

If it's too hot for your feet it's too hot for theirs. Mushers secret sounds great but to have options I would get the booties also.

Have a great trip!

Musher's Secret works like an invisible boot...

You just rub a small amount on Toby's paw and it will protect him from the hot sand....walking on sharp rocks...etc...

It doesn't stain carpets either!.

Enjoy your time at the lake!!
