Karen, what do you know about gene coat testing? I have read about several breeders doing this now to help determine shedding potential and color potential.

It tests for the genes for curl and furnishings. Has nothing to do with color.
What a beautiful puppy. I have an f1b, so she is 3/4 poodle and 1/4 golden retriever. She was the most curly in her litter and looks more like her poodle dad. She doesn't shed, but she also isn't the look most people want in a doodle because she is so curly. They both have their pros and cons. A non shedder you maintain the dog, a shedder, you maintain the house.
She is completely adorable!
Josie, your pup is adorable and will look very much like what one thinks a doodle might look like. As to shedding, it's still a guess. you can gently tug on the back at the base of the tail and see if you get any hairs but that isn't that accurate for future shedding possibilities. :-}
She is adorable! I have no idea if she will shed (there is no way to tell until she has shed her puppy coat) but she will definitely be doodly! I would love to know the story of how she picked you!
Josie, your puppy is adorable! If I had to guess, I would say she looks like she will be more curly and because of that, most likely a low or non-shedder. Unfortunately there just isn't a guarantee with a mixed breed but she will love you just the same!
