Realistic Waiting Time for a Doodle...

I recently paid a deposit to be added to a reservation list for a puppy that has yet to be conceived--pregnancy confirmation expected in a couple of weeks.  I know that mother nature plays a huge role, but am I being unrealistic in believing that I will have a puppy this Summer?  Should I place more than one deposit to increase my chances of getting a large, standard chocolate, black, red or apricot male Labradoodle?   Looking at all of these beautiful Doodles on this site makes me even more excited to have a Doodle to call my very own.

I agree with your reasoning completely. Nothing is more important when choosing a puppy than having a breeder you can trust and feel comfortable with. Well worth the wait. There's an old saying "Act in haste, repent at leisure", lol. Instant gratification rarely works out well when it comes to making major life decisions, which certainly applies to bringing a new family member into your home and your life for hopefully the next 15 years. Good for you.
