So Chewie has started chewing up anything stuffed. He loves squeaky toys...holds them in his mouth squeaking them as he walks around, but if it's soft and/or stuffed, it's now trash...LOL. He had the Hide-a-Squirrel...loved it...two of the squirrels are destroyed. He had a Skin-Eez...really loved that...just tonight, chewed off the end.
What toys have you found your doodles to love that have proven to be durable? He of course loves his bully sticks, flozzies, etc, but can't have those all the time.
This will probably be a big no-no since they are not "techincally" dog toys BUT I have found that Webkinz - the popular little stuffed animals for kids are REALLY durable. I have 2 daughters 7 and 10 and a million Webkinz. What I do is cut off their eyes/ears so they can't eat them and they last for a long time! Hunter has a panda that she loves and she managed after about 4 months to get the seam torn - I took the stuffing out and she plays with the fur body all the time! A stuffed toy from the pet store lasts about 15 minutes and she can destroy it.
I'm surprised to hear that...my sister's miniature schnauzer puppy Maisy has destroyed her sons' webkinz...they have them put away now, but Maisy eviscerated at least 10 of them (don't get me started on why any kids needs 15 webkinz each...)
For Christmas, we give Edgar a new soft toy that was billed as virtually indestructible, made of some of the same material as running shoes. Within 5 minutes he had chewed a hole and was pulling out the stuffing. Sad. The only stuffed toy that is still intact is his "baby" that he sleep with in his crate. I've given up on soft toys:O)
I bought Sandy this Dragon from Smart Pack. Actually I have bought him 3. Each has lasted several months and is a great combination of soft, squeak and chewable. Sandy is an incredible chewer!

Chewie is just 22-23 lbs, so not hugh, but he can tear through those toys. How old is Maddy...is she still growing? Chewie is 7-1/2 months, but has been at this weight for a while now.
I know what you mean...everyone is amazed when I tell them what Chewie weights...he is all fluff. I should measure him...I don't think he's that tall either. I know they say to measure at the withers, but I don't know what that is. I'll have to Google it.
I try to measure Tori, but she won't stand still long enough for me to do that! I'm beginning to think that Tori and Chewie must be long lost siblings or something! They have VERY similar personality traits! Gotta' love em'
Is Chewie teething? If yes, we have found that the "old hand towel tied into a knot soaked in water then frozen in the freezer" worked great when Nugget was teething. She would chew on one for a long time. Just be careful because as they thaw they can get furniture, tile, carpeting, etc. wet. I typically gave her one to chew on the deck.
