We are soon to be the proud parents of a doodle! We want to be as prepared as possible. Anyone recommend good books they have read? Thanks!

Before and After Getting Your Puppy can be obtained free online...do a search in the puppy madness group discussions.
Thanks for getting a head start on the learning and wanting to be prepared because you will have your hands full once your pup arrives! Also be sure to check out the grooming group to learn how to properly care for your puppies coat (look up line brushing and coat changes). If you can't find the info let me know and I can help you locate it.
I read Cesar Milan's "A Member of the Family." I can't recall the other book I read and I gave it away. I do remember what I liked about it though - it gave a week by week of developmental stages and exercises and tricks to learn at each stage. It really gave me targets for socialization and training goals. Also try and learn everything you can about crate training and house breaking. Much better to be armed with a routine ahead of time than fighting your way through it when you are in the moment. I am so glad you are preparing early! Good luck.
CONGRATS on your new puppy!
Puppies for Dummies is actually quite good. You can find it on PDF here: Puppies 4 Dummies
The Ian Dunbar book is the third one I linked above. Great book.
