Recommended Goldendoodle breeder in New England?

Hello! I'm new to the group and am looking for a goldendoodle in the next 6 months (not labradoodle) in MA, Rhode Island, Southern Maine, Connecticut, Vermont, or NH. I live in Boston area, so MA is ideal-- I haven't seen any recommended breeders listed here for goldendoodles in New England. One breeder I came across in Rhode Island won't let anyone visit due to Parvo Virus issues, even with a deposit. Is it adequate to get references from current owners and their veterinarian's recommendation?

Leaving my personal experience out I will just say this

I couldn't agree more with what Karen said on every recommendation....including not taking other people's advice.....everyone loves their doodle. i would be sure to ask how old the parents are and of they had follow up testing after the age of two, how many litters they allow their dogs to have before retiring and if the sires live in kennels instead of homes.

It's easy to be deceived..I would never get a doodle unless I saw the health testing on both parents after two years, I knew that the sires had homes that were loving and not living in a kennel and that the females were only used for certain amount of times. I would also look for a breeder who was upfront and honest and not afraid to allow others to air that their dog has a genetic disease. Things would need to be very transparent ..... Any attempt to not disclose full information would be a huge red flag for me.

Of course I have had a dog now six years almost. I knew nothing when I got Jack and completely lived in la La land.
