When I first walk in the door, or when I get Holly really riled up she does this thing where she scrunches up her cheeks and kind of seems to lose all control of her facial muscles. It is a really goofy face and she only does it when she is really happy, kind of like an enormous smile I suppose. She just started doing it in the last year or so, she didn't do it when she was a little puppy. I was just curious if anyone else has a doodle that does the same thing or if Holly is "unique". I've tried to take a picture but it is too fast and I can never predict when she will do it.
Kona did this for the first time when he was over 3 years old. We had Golden Retrievers who smiled so it was easy for me to see that is what he was doing. I love it. It is rare and fleeting. Wish they would do it more often.
Look at the thumbnails for this week's main page slideshow and go over to photo #29. That is kindof a scrunchy face and looks like she is trying to "smile for the camera". Is that what you are talking about?
LOL My father-in-law's Brittney Spaniel does that! It is absolutely HILARIOUS! I hope you can get a photo for us :-) The funny part about his dog is she started doing it the day she was spayed. Never did it before that and now does it every time she is excited. You have an expressive dood :-)
