Shaved ears and tail?

Before I post a picture...which may be a long time because I can't bring myself to take one......does anyone have a picture of a doodle with SHAVED ears and tail???????

I can beat any groomer horror story you've got....promise!  I am so angry I can't begin to put into words what I am feeling without using numerous expletives.  Murphy had some matting on his tail and coat.  He swims quite a bit and they get worse everytime he gets in the water.  He went to the groomer today and I knew she would need to do some repair work on the ears and take his tail down very short.  I was worried about the tail but had accepted it.  I went to pick him up and he is cut exactly like a Schnauzer.  She shaved his ears and tail along with the rest of his body.  Not only are they shaved they are all choppy with some long pieces here and there.  It is the most awful thing I have ever seen.

Did I mention that my sweet Murphy now has SHAVED EARS and Tail??????

All I can do is cry.

I don't want to post a picture because it is so awful.......everyone here is so supportive and I know you would feel like being kind but it is impossible.  There is no way this can be fixed and there isn't a liar on the earth good enough to be kind about it.

I have never seen a doodle with shaved ears....have you?  Anyone?  Got a picture?

I am going to go back to crying and drinking now.

Lol lol. Hunter just outgrew her Schnauzer-do and it was awful! However her tail was only shaved half way up! I am not sur which would be worse half way or all the way! Her ears were left straggly but she was schnauzer in her beard and feet. I swear she was mortified. Just keep drinking and then maybe you will laugh instead of cry.

When I started reading your post, I only could only imagine how ugly he could be with your description. When I saw the end result, I actually blew out a 'whew'. Murphy does need his beard cut shorter but I think he looks absolutely adorable! Even his choppy body is adorable. He has the wispy curls that Samantha has and I love every single one them!

this was duncan's first "grooming" I call it the shaved lamb/french poodle combo. Needless to say I NEVER went back.

He was probably about 5 or 6 months old at the time. I cried for days.....But it grows quick...

i had to buy him a new collar after that "haircut" because his other one kept slipping over his skinny furrless neck! Here's what he looked like only an hour before we went to the groomer that fateful day....

I'm so sorry Murphy got clipped so short.  It's so frustrating to not get what you asked for at the groomer!  SUPER frustrating!

 

Now are you saying he's all one length ALL OVER....or that his ears and tail are shorter than his body?  Because honestly I think all one length looks far better than a shaved body with a cotton ball head and tail.  I think it looks neat and tidy and I think you should post a photo.  If it's really bad we can commiserate with you....
