Hi everyone....i sort of dropped off the face of the dk earth for the last 4 months....just wanted to say Duncan is doing well. He's 5 now. We had a few issues over the last couple of months with increased thirst and some head tremors. Ultimately blood and urinalysis were good and so we're thinking it has been anxiety but who knows.
He's been loving all the snow we have been dumped with here on the east coast. He REALLY loves the new fuzzy throw i bought for my bedroom and on a sad…

First, A Happy St. Paddy's Day to you all from me and Duncan O'Doodles.
Also, I wanted to share something very dear to me....I was filmed recently for a video series that Dicks Sporting Goods is doing called "Every Runner Has A Reason". They are featuring 13 stories of runners who have different reasons for why they run. Anyway, mine is up and i'd love for you all to…

Just wanted to wish you all a happiest of holidays from me and the duncan doodle. It's been a rough year on DK reading about doodles with health issues or who have crossed to the rainbow bridge. It's also been a wonderful year to see lots of new puppy photos of doodle family additions. May the season be a time to reflect on sad memories and re-live the happy memories.
Duncan just turned 4 yesterday and i'm so lucky and grateful to have such an amazing furry companion. I'm…

I drove up with the Dunkster to Westport, NY (Lake Champlain/Adirondacks) for a quick weekend trip. My friend and her family rent a few cottages on this one property right on the lake. We LOVED IT!!! It was his longest road trip. (5 1/2 hours) and Duncan was great. He napped mostly and would pop up every so often to check out the view and give me the "how much longer?" look. We took 4 mile walks every morning. And he was giddy to chase/track chipmunks galore.
And then in the…

Dear Duncan:
You are my Furry Valentine. I love when you rest your head on my lap.
and I love when you play with your cute little doodle butt in the air
and I love how you stretch those legs back in the morning…

That would be very cool! We live about 400+ miles south of San Francisco, but if we are free, we will travel in our RV and meet you part way. One of the things we have planned is to travel on our motorcycle up the coast to Sonoma which is just north of San Francisco. We are visiting all of the California Missions in a 'challenge' so perhaps we might meet up even if it is without dogs. We have some things planned for September/October but no dates have been set in stone yet. We are meeting Ann and Mike in a town called Morro Bay, which is a cute little seaside fishing town. Ned is about 17" tall and weighs 28 pounds. When I look at Duncan's pictures, I think Ned might have longer legs, but I can't really tell with all their fur! :-}
We are going to meet Mike and Ann Kendig next week and I noticed some pictures of Duncan in their photos from a romp. I will ask them to compare their perception of Duncan and of Ned with real life eyes. This is going to be fun! I think Duncan is a bit larger than Ned, but not a bunch. :-}
Ned isn't a hunter either, although he has become interested in whatever Clancy finds in the bushes - yuck!
I can't believe Ned and Clancy are 6! Clancy is our great 'hunter' - uh, yuck. We get lizards and birds inside and you better pay attention to the floor when walking barefoot - gross. It is HOT HOT HOT here - high 90's and low hundreds. Our air conditioner needs replacing and it is not going to happen when we can use that money to go somewhere cooler in the RV, so when we are home, the boys lay on the cool tile floor and we sweat.
Saw Duncan's wonderful sunset beach photo and it made me wonder how he is. Ned and Clancy are doing well.
Ah, thanks! Duncan is adorable.
You have no idea how much I appreciate your saying that. A few well-meaning people have said things like "I would have gotten bitten, I would would have been right in there between them" etc. It's not that I was afraid of getting bit, it's more that it's all happening so fast and there is so much movement you can't even tell what is happening, and you are just numb...I don't even know how to explain it. I think you have to have it happen to you to really understand. Thank you for making me feel better. :)
Thanks, Sally. I'm sorry you had this experience. Bad enough to have it happen, but for the owners to not even apologize or offer to help out with the bills is just despicable.
I feel worst about the fact that i wasn't able to protect JD. That dog just flew at him out of nowhere and by the time i could react, he had already been bitten. :(
Ned-Duncan or Duncan-Ned (whichever combo) OR instead of Nedderbudder - NedderDuncan. Anyway, that picture of Duncan in his costume is really priceless. Not that I saw the pictures submitted, but the photography group has some awesome photographers as well as the take-hundreds-and- hope-for-the-best type (like me). The one of Ned that is a close up in the labradoodle calendar was taken by GBK and the other group ones he is in were taken by the owners of the other doodles in the groups. Lucky Ned and Clancy. I did take the shot of Clancy in the Lotsa Doodles calendar. I can't access the Goldendoodle calendar for some reason but I think he might be in that one - I couldn't tell from Adina's e-mail to me.
I adore the picture of Ned Duncan that was chosen for the calendar. I will pretend it is Ned and you can pretend the one of Ned is Duncan which makes them able to zip across the country.
