Sick Doodles ... Thoughts?

For many years DoodleKisses was our sole place of communication.  We have over 10,000 members and while we lost a few of our beloved doodles it wasn't an every day occurrence.  I know that many of you are on FB now and a member of Doodle Family.  While I'm not real active there I am still a member on the site.  I see it in my feed and occasionally when I feel I have something of value to add I will do so.  What has been troubling me lately, is the number of sick and dying doodles on the site.  There are only 1714 members.  When you compare the two sites member wise, it just seems off.  Has anyone else noticed this?  I just wonder why?   It is actually a little scary and definitely very sad.

I know. I keep posting the clinical information that coconut oil taken internally has no proven benefits for dogs (or people either for that matter), and may even contribute to inflammation, but it seems to fall on deaf ears. People will believe what they want to believe, I guess. I just worry about the poor animals who have no choice in their treatment and can't get real help.

Our private trainer told us to give Annabelle coconut oil with every bowl of food. That it would help with everything from coat to digestion.  My husband pretty much told her she was nuts. That was the end of that. There was nothing wrong with her coat or digestion in the first place.

Completely agree, I think it works as a good moisturizer and is good to cook with and I'll leave it at that. One of my friends had read/been advised to give her two dogs each a teaspoon of coconut oil a day to prevent cancer- seriously?? You've got to be kidding me!

Coconut oil is the new apple cider vinegar. Cures everything. And I have a bridge for sale.

Lol that another one, I like it for cleaning, cooking and hair and that's about it! Not cancer, weight loss, mood stabilizer.... Whatever else it "cures". Lmao about the bridge!

I read on 100 uses for coconut oil, that with regular use it can help or prevent alzheimers. That is what I thought, you've got to be kidding me.

I am in a bunch of doodle groups on fb to look at the pictures. One in particular and I won't mention the name but I don't think the person that leads the group is on here. I cringe and shudder so much at some of the posts. "Just slap the dog on the nose when they nip" gets posted just about every other day. I tried a couple times to comment on stuff, but the person in charge gets very angry when you go against anything they say. I know I could just leave the group, and probably should but I do so love looking at the pictures that are posted, I just try not to read anything there anymore. 

I am also in several great doodle groups (where I see people from here lol)
