Sick girl

I'm new and my 9 year old golden doodle was just diagnosed with IMT and the vet is giving us no hope. My heart is broken.

Nothing I say will heal your heart faster.  You did the right thing, which is often so difficult.  Misty took a piece of your heart with her, but left you a piece of her heart.  When the heartache becomes less you will feel her heart in yours.  Thinking of you.

Today was very hard packing away her toys and coats,,,the coats smelled just like her. I'm still looking over my shoulder out of habit, I miss my cuddle partner

I am so  NOT looking to that day with my girls.  My heart breaks for your very sorrowful loss.  When I know how very much all the folks on this forum love their doodle babies, I just can't fathom how some people can give their dogs away.  Know that you gave her the very best of yourself and she knew great joy and love from you.  How precious a gift, giving of ourselves.  May time ease your pain and may her memories bring you much needed comfort.  Patti, I  wish I was there to give you a big hug.  I am so sorry.  Mere words can never express how much I care about your loss of your sweet cuddle partner.  They just never get to stay as long as we want them.

I am so sorry for your loss and I totally understand the pain you are feeling.  My beloved Paz crossed the rainbow bridge two weeks ago and the loss is dreadful, however, I truly believe the greatest gift of love we can give our sweet doodles, is to not let them suffer.  Thinking of you.
