This may sound really weird, but does anyone's Doodle have extra slimy saliva? Maddie's saliva is so slimy, it is almost like what it feels like if you pick up a fish! And, as a result of constantly "licking her chops", the fur around her mouth gets really hard after it dries, and her face smells. I have to constantly wash her face, but it doesn't seem to do any good since it only takes a short while until it is right back to the way it was before I washed it. Morgan is not like this at all - I guess hers is "normal", thank Goodness! But, even the water bowl, after she drinks, the water looks cloudy, almost as though it has had fish in there.
Do you think this is something that may be a sign of a problem she may have? I have only just noticed it getting like this recently (like within the last couple of months). They are eating the same food they have been eating for a couple of years now, and no other changes in her diet that I can think of.
F. Parker, I know you had made a comment a while back about your Doods' having some slimy saliva, but is it this bad? If so, is there something you can do for it?

Morgan is like Sophie - not as slimy and, as you said, cleaner. She loves to lick us on our hands, I guess to get the salt off, and it doesn't leave any "film" or anything. But the weird thing is, her breath is horrible, and Maddie's breath doesn't smell bad at all! Go figure!!
I don't have a problem with muzzles and when the doodles lick me the saliva doesn't feel particularly slimy but I notice that food bowls have to be really washed well to get rid of the slimy saliva feel. But my doodles are fine, they have always left bowls like this and I think it's normal. I guess I'd wonder why Maddie licks her face so much.
