I took Bosco (labradoodle) to the dog park yesterday for the first time. Bosco is 4, we've had him for 2 years and he was in bad shape when we got him (scared, defiant and angry). He also wasn't socialized as a puppy, so he didn't know how to play. I've been working with him and some wonderful trainers near us and decided that yesterday was the day. I put him on a shock collar just in case, but he was great! He went straight for 2 very large goldendoodles and played with them. I was worried because he was a little rough at first, but the gd owners said he was doing great for his first time - and they put him in his place. He listened when I called and everything! We stayed for about half an hour and Bosco must have gotten tired because he went and sat by the car so I'd take him home. I am so proud of him!
That is awesome. Bosco has finally found his forever home and is one lucky dood:-) You have to be so proud of him and kudos to you for helping him.My heart aches for these poor babies.
