I come from Saskatchewan Canada so lots of snow here. Wondering how Doodles are after they are done playing in the snow... one giant snowball?? What do you do to dry them off..?? I haven't got my Doodle yet, but I'm worried about walking them and clumps of snow on their paws every time I do. I don't want to have to crate him or wash the paws every time we come in. Any advice!!

They do get snow balls. I pull off what I can and sometimes put them in their crates to melt. Sometimes warm water dips are needed though. Others sometimes use dryers.

Walking: Get some boots for the paws- Muttlucks. That does hurt. You can also get a snowsuit. Do a search on DK. Lots of examples.
The snow really melts off in just minutes if they are just going out to potty.

We use warm water in a bucket at the back door (in the garage, one of us has to go in and get prepared). Dip and clean, dip and clean... the towel dry. It's a PITB but she so loves the outdoors in the snow it is 100% worth it.

I have seen some beautiful leggings to help keep the snow off their legs.  You could easily make some out of some cute knee socks by cutting off the bottom and putting some light elastic around the top and bottom.  Do a google search and you can see what they look like.

I can usually pull most of them off and the Doodles lick off what I don't get.  My guys don't like the boots.

For Ari I always used my hands to get off what snow I could from his body. The rest would melt off fairly quickly. If we were out walking or if he were just coming in from outside, I always checked between his paws for snow / ice buildup. It just becomes second nature in winter, especially with Doodles. Good luck with your future doodle! They are awesome!
