Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

As some of you know, Rose will be joining our family next month. April (of Cliberdoodles) was sweet enough to make the announcement last month in a blog that Gaston-Cramer was going to be a big brother! She is exactly 14 months old today!

We are so excited but it is soooooooooooooooooo different than when we were waiting on Gaston-Cramer's arrival!  I read all these cute posts about what everyone is buying for their new puppies anticipating their arrival and I was right along with you when we brought GC home.  This time, waiting for Rose is so much harder!  I have nothing to buy! LOL

We did order her a name tag but Scott has stopped me from buying "pink" toys for her as our house is LOADED with dog toys as it is and he knows Gaston, Madison and Bindi will share.

How am I going to make the time go faster until she arrives if I can't buy for her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Hmmmm....maybe April can measure her neck for me and I can get her a prissy pink collar?  That's it!  I'll shop for a collar! One with roses on it! LOL  Let's hope it takes me a month to find it as I truly feel like I have nothing to do to prepare for her arrival and time is moving so slow!

Those two collars are from "The Cool Puppy" They have so many adorable collars! Here is their website.

omg they have bowties. Can you just see a bowtie on darwin??? Sorry to get off topic....

Sadly, my husband thinks that even the bowties are too prissy. Men ruin all the fun! :-)
I absolutely love that pink flower one but it doesn't come in an XL and I think that's the size she'd need. Ooooh it's so "girly". I love it!
Congrats again. I have 2 males so I don't get as good a selection for them. I managed to buy 4 new collars when I was in Florida. They had such nice ones compared to here. I probably would have bought more but DH came into the store to hurry me up.
Hee, hee! Busy day here and I just read this! FYI... A large collar will work fine. A X-large may be too big. As I type this Rose came up and laid her head on my lap. She says, "hello." :o)
Ooooh.....then I just might have to order that cute pink flowered one! LOL

Give our little snowball a kiss from us all....xxxx!
Maybe you could start making and freezing some special doggie treats! lol
Oh I TRULY feel your pain. I was on a waiting list with my breeder before Sheila was even born-since last Sept. Then she was born in Mid-Nov. then we sent her to training for four weeks and now FINALLY I get to go get her tomorrow. Patty at Logcabin would send ONE PICTURE a week and I was too far away to go visit. But, AT LEAST I COULD SHOP!!! My other dogs were labs, so Sheila needed new everything. My dining room looks like a layette. But YOU CAN'T DO THAT. Oh, how hard. Can you talk April into more pictures? I would call Patty and bug her about stuff I didn't know, but YOU KNOW EVERYTHING. What is a mom to be to do? Well, if April has a heart (and I am sure she does), she will baby you a bit. A phone call now and then, an extra pic or two. AND, I formed an email support group with the other owners of the litter. We got to know each other, talked about our other dogs AND you, my dear, will be the celebrity bc YOU already have a dog from April. Man, we worked AMY, who already had Gracie. She sent us pics of her dog, who has the same father, and told us how wonderful her dog was, on and on. She kept us going AND was so kind to teach us thing, too. So, you can have a JOB here inbetween your support group at DK and tell all the other moms about DK, what your favorite products are, foods your dog eats, etc. You will be so popular!!!! I will also commiserate ith you ANYTIME. Also, something in LIFE will happen that will take your mind off it for a week or so. Trust me, I had to run to Florida for my elderly father, had a funeral to attend, etc. Then the time passes. I also did alot of decoring on my web page and learned alot about piknic.com, glitter graphics, etc. That took up alot of time and somehow I felt more connected to Sheila. Good luck. I HAVE to get off DK and go pack. I'm so addicted. I need a puppy to get me off this darned computer!!!

This is Sheila practicing how to get out of her doggy stroller for the planeride!!!

Can you tell me a little more about this? Someone trained her before you got her? Have you met her yet? How old is she now? Just curious. Thanks!
Oh my goodness Dee Dee! That was some response! You are sooooooooooo excited for tomorrow I can just feel in through your post! LOL What fun!

April has been MORE than wonderful in sending photos of Rose! We were DK friends for a year or more prior so she knows how nuts I am about Gaston-Carmer and how much I stalk(ed) Rose! LOL She's gone above and beyond in surprising us with photos and videos of Rose or simply an email telling us a silly thing she'd done. Rose will be our first Cliberdoodle and April is truly the best! I wish you the same wonderful experience with your breeder. Time is frankly going by very quickly and I have TONS to keep me busy but at the end of the day, when we are curled up on the couch with GC, Bindi and Maddy, time stands still and we count the days until Rose is here with us too!

Have safe travels tomorrow and we can't wait to hear all about your Shiela when she's home with you. :)

P.S: Today I bought Rose and Gaston-Cramer matching Valentine's collars at Old Navy for next year for $1.47 each! Got my pink fix! LOL
