Well we get to meet the doodle who is looking for a home this week. As I said he's 6 months old. His Name is Jake. I'm trying to attach a few pictures here. Hes a standard like our boy. Comments welcome.

Oh, a long-legged black boy!  I have one of those.  Are you thinking of adopting him, or putting out the picture for others who may be looking for an older puppy?  What was his previous home like?  Six months is a little old for a puppy, but it really depends on what he has been doing up to now.  Probably house trained and maybe even some obedience training.   Looks like a great find to me.

It's up in the air. It depends on how our boy does with him. I intended to foster but fell in love with his pictures. We are planning on getting another from our breeder so its a twist. I guess I have to meet him, have our dog meet him and then we will see. Our dog is 10 months so I don't know how they'll do being close in age but my dog loves all dogs and is pretty laid back for a 10 month old. We will see.

Zoe and Ben are 6 months apart. Ben follows her around and loves her so much!!! Zoe loves him too but he's her little brother... You know how that goes. Their personalities are night and day but when they play... They play! I love watching them play :)

So my next question is if two neutered male doodles will have major dominance issues. I never had a problem with previous male dogs. I guess I'm just exploring possibilities from foster to forever.

No dominance problems with our dogs, and we have always had males.  I prefer males because the neutering is so easy for them.  We have them neutered as pups before we even get them.  Take a look at my three on the photos on my page.  All are (were) males and neutered.

I have all males and most of the cousin dogs are males. 

He is just precious.  I love his silly happy face.

He is gorgeous. See how they get on. Before I got Boris I tried to adopt a doodle who was a year old and went to visit. That dog was very dominant and Riley was not happy throughout the whole day we spent there. The people were jerks and wanted money for him. Tried to sell me his 'outdoor' kennel and a lot of other stuff. The breeder and I were most upset and even though I knew he wasn't for us the breeder wanted him back with her but the owners wouldn't give him back. They placed an ad on Done Deal. The whole experience was very traumatic for the breeder and for me. Glad to say that that doodle did end up in a great home and I got Boris a few months later from the same breeder.

He is gorgeous.  So dark. Looks like he may stay dark.  So many blacks lighten up.  The one problem with seeing how your dog is going to do is sometimes that takes time.  Normally when a foster comes into the home it can be two weeks before you really start to see their true personality.  If I based a decision about getting another dog on what my Lucy thought at the first meeting I'd never have another dog.  When I brought Little AnnaBelle home Lucy wouldn't even look at her for weeks.  She would turn her head when she walked around her so she didn't have to look at her.  She wouldn't share her toys (that she didn't want anyway) or anything.  Now they are best friends.  If you have an opportunity to Foster and then make your decision that might be your best option.
