ok so u may have read my previous backyard post... ive been looking a lot in the turf (artificial grass) for my yard... even thinking of laying it down myself.. but it is verrryyy costly... any other ideas besides grass that keep the mess to a minimum that i can mention to my in laws? gravel?? concrete?? i still want midas to be able to play..not destroy the yard and keep his toesies from getting filtho! lol thanks in advance.. all suggestions welcome..oh and pics too! :) xoxo

woah they must be very aggressive runners!  LOL on the "mysteriously disappeared"!  my dogs run and wrestle on the grass too but I guess it's not that bad.

Our lawn has always been a problem since we don't get much sun with all the trees.  In summer, I do have a lovely herb garden on the side of the house that we grow tons of basil, mint (that's a story in itself) and other herbs.  When we were training Quincy  we would walk him past the herb garden, behind some pines and taught him to do his business there.  That worked great and we thought we had the potty issue safely tucked away up the hill.  Along comes old man winter and we of course start encouraging him to pee FAST and so now he only makes it to the herb garden. I knew it was a bad idea, but I also knew that it was dang cold, never mind the several feet of snow.  I guess some low fencing is in the future or we will have funny flavored herbs this year!

I'm so glad to hear of BAD lawns.With my three coming off the deck in one area is the worst.I've seen better cow pastures. I'm inches away from CEMENT .I'm building another deck so hopefully that will be another enter and exit  for them. If not CEMENT!!!!
