Stray in Texas

I saw this on Facebook the other day, and it's been haunting me. I'm not sure what to do with the information. Thanks for any suggestions.

Now it will haunt me. If Animal Control is aware, I hope they are continuing their efforts to find him everyday. Sad.

Baited live trap??? I'd say animal control need to try harder! Or contact a local private rescue that might have more time to try and catch him. Poor boy :(

Thanks, Karen. I shared the information with the woman who originally posted about the stray, as well as the rescue group - both in an email to the organization as well as in a message on their FB page. Thanks for the guidance.

I read all the info on their FB page.  They have contacted Great Pyr. rescue and several other groups.  Looks like there is a plan in place.  Supposedly he has a home nearby and the owners let him roam and he has gotten into this awful condition...  His collar has become embedded and from what a few have said you can actually smell the stench from his infected neck.

I thought this post was about another stray someone posted on FB and I saw today that dog had been captured. Oh my...I didn't know about this poor dog. I pray someone can help!!
