Summer Grooming...

It is that time of year when many of us are getting ready to give our dogs a good summer cut.  Please share some of your summer cut photos...for us all.  Also posted this in Grooming Group.  Thank you.

Hi Yvonne. Well Tori goes for a grooming this week. I usually don't cut her short. I like to keep her as long as I can - at least for this time. I'll see as we roll closer to the hotter summer months. May go a bit shorter then. How about you?

I want to go short on body with longer head and tail. I keep seeing a doodle and of course when I had my camera Saturday he/she was no where to be found. Ugh.

I actually showed the second photo of Darwin to our groomer last time - Peri was about this length 2 months ago - it seems a little longer than 1/2"! Darwin looks cute here. Peri ended up a little fluffier on the head and tail, but I was very pleased overall.

I have been grooming Charli with a 3/8 comb on her legs and her head, 1/2 on her body. DH would like her legs longer but she is constantly rolling in the grass and just loves to walk in the bushes - she comes out with so much attached and entwind in her curls that longer will just be harder to get all the much and twigs out.
Not the best picture nor the best grooming job - I will get better with practice.

Glad you posted this Yvonne. The pics here are cute, but the doodles all look like they are much curlier than ours. Does anyone out there have a picture of their groomed doodle whose hair is more shaggy than curly? I'm also looking to get Gus and Molly groomed, I'm having trouble keeping up with all the combing but am not sure how short to go.

This is how Peri looked the day of her grooming. She was a tad shorter than I would have liked, but she looked pretty perfect in just a week. I would say she is not as curly and "shaggier". I will get her done this way again in a month or so:
