Aside from the fact that my team won (sorry OH) I wanted to comment on the commercials. This year there were some really good ones - E-Trade baby was okay, loved the Taco Bell ad, Doritos, well they did it again. I did not like the Mercedes Ad, I too thought it was a little risque as well as all the skin on the stage with Beyonce (I must be getting old), hands down though, the best ad for me was the Budweiser ad with the Clydesdale...it warmed my heart.
What did you guys think?

I like beautiful things, I like looking at beautiful things, and that includes beautiful people, both men and women. Maybe it has to do with having been a bodybuilder, but to me, a fit toned body like that looks beautiful, and I want to see it. Those legs of hers are a wonder of nature, and the way she dances, I want to be able to see the way she moves, the dance steps; you couldn't see that if she was wearing long or flowing garments. I don't think that's objectifiying women, I think the costume enhances the dancing and the performer, and I don't think that's anything new, either. I'll bet I could find photos of Ann Miller or Cyd Charisse wearing costumes that skimpy on the internet right now.
You do get what I mean by "thrusting" right? My 13 year old nephew went "Oh Man, why'd she did that?" - lol.
I know, seriously it's the moves not the get up!
lol...I was texting my DH during the halftime show and I asked him when shaking your butt and boobs and stomping your feet had suddenly become dancing.
I don't know, I liked the show. I liked the dancing, I liked the costumes, I thought everyone was decently covered. I used to wear less than that when I was doing hard lifting, and I was in my 4s then, lol. So I didn't see anything inappropriate or sleazy about it. In fact I commented to my DD that Beyonce always seems classier than many of the popular young female artists these days, and of course she's more talented, too. There were some seriously athletic and acrobatic moves there last night, in those extremely high heels, so I was admiring her balance and fitness level, too. So I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.I really enjoyed it. My only complaint would be that the light show made me a little dizzy, lol.
I am with you Karen. I thought she was fabulous. I have seen her in concert and she is amazing. Lisa is just a fuddy duddy and was probably tired because she works, or haven't you heard??
I enjoyed Madonna more last year.
I loved her! Shes an awesome dancer AND i loved her outfit! the lace made is really feminine and the black leather made it super sexy! There were some parts of the dancing that had sexual connotations and i thought was unnecessary but I guess thats just how people dace these days. I'm not sure and I'm not even that old. I think I'm the same age as Beyonce.
Do yourself a favor and do not go anywhere near a high school dance--it makes this half time show look tame--I mean it...I was shocked when i chaperoned a HS dance a few years ago after a ten year absence for that duty...
I think that the women on Dancing with the Stars wear less--I guess i am getting used to all that skin...
No I said Sorry to OH because they HATE the the Ravens since Model sneaked them out in the middle of the night. Ask any one here and they all cheered for the 49r's
Oh, I didn't get the connection. Okay, it's me!
So you ARE getting old too - ha ha
Oh, yes, that's very clear, lol!
I was once a rabid football fan, but that was back when there were 28 teams! I don't know the history of these "new" ones, lol.
