If you haven't done so already I would also suggest joining the Puppy Madness Group. Lots of good info in there on this very topic and you might get some suggestions you don't get here.
Depending upon your pup's coat, you might need a high quality brush, Horse Mane 'N Tail Detangler, or Cowboy Magic, and a steel comb. These coat needs will begin when your pup is about 6 months old. Go to our food group and check out the list of quality foods. The people who run the food group have done extensive research into the quality and sourcing of different pet foods. Those foods that seem hugely more expensive are more efficient and the portions are smaller, so you can't look at the cost of the bag but the cost per serving. You don't want to change your pup's food from whatever it had at the breeders, for two weeks then you can gradually switch over.
Here's a link to a previous discussion that has lots of great information. Congratulations on your new Doodle.

I'm one of the few people who do not like crates for my puppies. I have a crate for them in the back of the car when they are being transported, but at home they spend their free time in a playpen for a baby. I have had one for each of my doodles. I am getting another one for my new doodle that we will get sometime this summer. There are all types of playpens out there. Wind-up music is a plus and a vibrator works well. Turn on the vibrator and wind up the music and out they go. When they get too tall (Groucho just walked over the playpen) I put a top on the playpen with bungee cords. During the night, I come out and pick them up out of their bed and carry them outside to the place I want them to eliminate. Then right back into the house and back into the playpen. They catch on to that routine very quickly. Don't let them walk outside or spend time exploring outdoors at night. Works for me. I just don't like the look of crates.
Nature's Balance is a great brand for everything.
