Sweet Jack, my protector and healer...

I had a episode today that led me to need to go to the ER to get some medications to help with my breathing and keep my airway open. As usual Jack knew I was sick before me.. When I got home from being out before I went to the hospital, he was totally clingy to me as usual when he suspects I am not well.

Then he started pacing circles around me, round and round and round. He never has done that before. I am not talking just one or two times, he just continually did it till I picked him up.

Usually he just turns to Velcro when I am sick. This time he was so cute. I felt so bad for him, he looked at me so sadly.

 

Luckily and very unusually for me, I got to come home without an admission. When I got home my sweet boy was laying on my tee shirt that I changed out of when I left for the hospital in.

He has now assumed his protect him mommy mode and is snuggled up next to me.

 

I love you Jack, you make it all worth while!!!

Thank you guys so much!!! Breathing is not the easiest thing in the world for me but Jack makes it all better.

I don't think to many people outside of the dog world would understand when I say, I am now convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that Jack really is way more in tune with me then ever. Which will help give me insight into future training with him.

 

He honestly knows before I do, when I am about to get sick. He also knows when I am not able to do the normal things with him that I do, such a long walks and lots of play. He never protests, he just lays at my feet with his had on my toes waiting for me to feel better.

 

I really need to find a trainer who understands this better, because I am convinced now, more then ever that Jack could be trained to sniff out what makes me sick. After all, some dogs are now being trained to smell out cancer.

 

Thanks for being so kind and for the well wishes.. I am home in bed for the weekend, so you will see lots and lots of me. Oh wait how is that different then when I am not sick!!!! LoL
