Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Hi All,  I hope this isn't a repeat subject, I tried to search.  Just curious.....does anyone take their dog to work with them?  If so, what is your job?  I have been a stay at home mom for several years now and am looking to get back to work.  I would love to find/think of a home business where I could involve Ruby my goldendoodle.  How great to have your Doodle as a co-worker, morale would be terrific!!

I am very fortunate to work from home, Hunter is in my office with me about 90% of my work day. When she wants something she will lay her head on my keyboard tray and there is NO getting it off without doing what she once :-) Even my clients ask me what she is doing when they call!
i am a freelance graphic designer and work from home most days so Duncan has a toybox and waterbowl, bed etc in my office. He usually naps while i'm working. I wish I could teach him how to file papers and be my Admin!

Some days I have to work in the city at one of client's offices and he gets to spend those days at my friends office. It's an advertising agency that is dog-friendly. There is a daily group consisting of a pug, french bulldog, 2 chiuahuas and a terrier mix. Here's a picture of them all on the couch in the conference room....Cracks me up!!! (Mind you it took 86 shots before they got them all to look at the camera at the same time.

This is a fantastic picture! 86 shots, huh?
I am an HR professional and I cannot take my boys to work with me but I can work from home with remote access if I don't have to attend any meetings (although this is also done sometimes from home by conference call or video conference). My employer is an american company with world headquarter in the US. The world headquarter allows dogs into the office but here at the European headquarter they don't allow dogs. Luckily my boyfriend is self-employed and can spend a lot of time working from home too so that we can mix and match our working schedules from home almost every day. So I am not really a help regarding your question but maybe you will an opportunity where you can also work partially from home.
I often take Stella to work with me. I work in a music hall/theatre/auditorium and she loves to patrol the halls and hang out in my office. She is very popular and will even work some events with me if I know the patrons won't mind her there (depends on the type of event... concerts, trade shows, dance recitals, etc). I also have a little vintage/art shop and she is the official greeter there! Most of the people that come in love to see her and there are folks that come back JUST to visit with Stella. She is also a registered therapy dog so it seems that since that is pretty well known in our town she is very easily accepted by most people.

My 7 month old doodle, Stanley is almost ready to begin "working" too.
I used to work for a home furnishing and interior design company. The owner of the company has (I want to think that he is still alive, although he must be at least 12 now) a yellow lab, Max. I always always looked forward to seeing him in the office, he brightened my work day. She didn't bring him in every day, but when he did come in to work with her, he would carry his tweetybird stuffed toy in his mouth... how cute was that!
