Tatoo for your pet? At least New York is headed in the right direction!

I think it's a great thing that they are outlawing frivolous tattooing of pets, but I know a fair number of dogs who have been tattooed for identification and safety purposes. I would hope that option is still available for those who for one reason or another don't want to chip.

Good point, Karen.    The other tattooing, such as in the photo,  is just wrong!

That is a good point. I completely disagree with tattooing a pet such as the example shown in the article, however, I am in favor of it for ID purposes in place of a chip. There is definitely a difference!
