Tether that won't choke

Any suggestions for something that won't wrap and potentially choke our new puppy Aussie labradoodle Hot Diggity Dog? I like to keep him out of his crate during the day and need something safe.

Are you tethering him to you or leaving him alone tethered somewhere? No puppy should be leashed and then left alone. Too many things can happen while you are gone. If you are tethering him to you, a collar and leash will do the trick.

We used an ex-pen or baby corral to keep our pups close to us but keep them out of things also. We got IN the corral or enclosure with them.  You can even set a baby corral around a couch or chair.

I have the same question as Laurie...is he being tethered to you or to a piece of furniture while you are nearby?
If you are supervising, I don't think he'll get strangled with you keeping an eye on him.  He might get his legs wrapped up but the rest is unlikely.
