Love this!  So true.  We have a F1b labradoodle staying with us now for company for Harpo.  The first night he was here at bedtime he went out to the laundry room and laid down by the door to the garage because that is the door where his human left earlier in the day.  I went out and brought him into the house (with his head hanging) to go to bed.  After the lights were out and everyone was in bed, I heard him sobbing.  He would come up and put his head on my husband's shoulder for reassurance.  They are really like little children and the tell me that story again is just perfect.
