Dear DK Family,

WOW!....What an amazing year it has been for DRC Inc and for doodle rescue! I am so proud and happy to report to you all that in 2010 DRC successfully saved and placed over 250 doodles in need. Since our humble beginnings in 2009 Doodle Rescue Collective Inc has saved and placed nearly 325 dogs nationwide. That's a lot of happy doodles now safe in their forever homes.

I am personally so deeply moved by what we have been able to accomplish as a group in such a short period of time that I humbly confess, I do not know how DRC could even exist without each and every one of you. Not a day goes by without my being inspired by either the greatness of individuals or by the collective achievments of this group. You are some of the most extraordinary human beings I have the pleasure of calling my friends, my collegues and my "family."

It's because of all of YOU that DRC exists. You are why we are able to continue to save more and more doodles in need every day.

Your work, your dedication, your compassion, and the strength of your spirits are the heart & soul of our "collective" rescue family. I thank you for allowing me the honor of your company and for all that you do for DRC Inc and these amazing dogs.

That all being said, history and the current economy have taught us that there will be plenty more doodles to be saved in 2011. So what do you say friends?..... Let's get our "collective" butts in gear and get out there and save as many as we can!

I am looking forward to working with each and every one of you in the New Year. Together we have made and will continue to make a difference.

Warmly and with heartfelt gratitude,

Jacqueline Yorke
President/Executive Director

Makes me shed tears of joy every time I watch!
Lovely slide show. Thank heavens for the DRC and all of the wonderful volunteers, I know that there will be just as much success in 2011!
As I look at all of these dogs who are now safe in their forever homes, I am struck by the enormous debt of gratitude that each dog, each adoptive family, and each of us owe to the people who truly made these happy endings possible...their foster parents. Nothing that any of us in rescue does, no matter how hard or long we work, is as important as what our foster moms (and dads) do. Every one of these dogs is where they are today because of a selfless person who was willing to open her home and her heart to a stranger, and to rearrange her own life, simply to save a dog's life. When I read our foster blogs, I am in awe of these seemingly ordinary people who are making light of the kinds of things that would have me drinking at 10 a.m., and who are working miracles on behalf of a dog who will leave them one day. As I celebrate all of these happy endings, I am humbled to be included in the same group as those of you who have so selflessly and lovingly fostered these dogs, and I am more grateful than I can ever express. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

You did a great job again on the slideshow.  I grabbed my kleenex box before I even started to watch it LOL

Molly (and Sadie and I) were very proud to be included.  Thanks for all you do to help doodles find happy, new homes.

May they all be as happy as we are.

Lynn, Sadie and Molly (adopted Jan 2010)
