The HDA trophy arrived in Streetsboro, this past Tuesday, it came all the way from Newfoundland Canada from Donna and Quincy.
I was able to get Daisy sufficiently excited by leaving the package on the floor for a day before opening it...she walked by it several times taking deep sniffs to see if she could figure out what was inside, of course she was not the only one getting excited. Originally I planned on having DH help with the unveiling but he was so late coming home I decided to take on the task of a photo shoot and opening all by myself. Big Mistake. Daisy was too excited by this point and I ended up with less then acceptable shots. Lots of blur and not enough speed from Mom. So I have created a collage of photos so you can get the gist of it all,
Donna sent such wonderful things...candy (love the peppermints), a chocolate and blueberry sucker appropriately shaped into a daisy, peanut butter candy, candy bar, rum flavored coffee and a beautiful pair of hand knitted mitten/gloves, perfect for playing in the backyard to throw Daisy's new Kong toy, or her silly faced chuck it ball. We also received a stuffed Newfie and Puffie Penguin, I think those two things were meant for me but Daisy had another idea when she snatched each one and took them to her dog bed. I have since rescued them both and they have survived. She loves the special chicky bones and Z Fillets. We also received adorable doggy hair bows, didn't know there was such a thing....she looks so cute in them, don't you all agree. We also received a lovely "I love my dog" Christmas tree ornament and several pamphlets on what to do and see when DH, Daisy and I land in Newfoundland hopefully in the near future. Donna, I will let you know when we will be there so you can slip the key under the mat in case your not home :o)
I have been a member of Doodle Kisses for just over a year. I enjoy every minute I spend here and have made so many wonderful friends. I have learned so much about how to care for our beautiful girl, I have also learned that, for the most part, I am amongst fellow doodle owners that all are addicted to there doodles. Thank you Adina for creating such a wonderful place for all of us to congregate and enjoy.

Congratulations Daisy and Lisa. Welcome to the HDA Club.
Thanks Joanne and Nanice, I consider myself amongst the best!
Lisa Congrats and Daisy too! That's a lot of goodies!!! Daisy looks adorable in her new bows!!! Love the middle picture!!
Don't forget to get Daisy to kiss the trophy and pass it along.
She spent a full minute investigating that trophy, I can't imagine what she was thinking - ha ha.
I had to put a little peanut butter on the start to get her to "kiss" the trophy, (thanks Ricki for that tip), otherwise she would not have kissed it at all, she is not a kisser, she's kissed lots but does not reciprocate.
Congratulations Lisa!! I think you did great with the one person photo shoot! Daisy looks adorable in her little red bows! And the one of her touching the trophy is priceless!! Welcome to the club my friend!
She is awfully cute in them isn't she...DH doesn't like when I "bow" her but she is a girl after all.
I guess you'll have to save them for "girls night out"!! Or maybe at WORK!!! :)
Congratulations and welcome to the HDA Club!
