Well, I had hoped to get up at 4 am to start watching the Royal Wedding, but even for royalty, I could not get up that early. Around 6 am I turned on the TV and was just in time to see the Queen making her way to the church. What a beautiful bride Kate Middleton turned out to be and I hope she and William have a more loving marriage than his parents. I can not believe it has been thirty years since Charles and Diana's wedding day and I remember it very clearly. I had only been married 3 years, no children yet, and my DH was a college student at Purdue and we were living in married student housing. I think I called in sick that day, so I would not miss a thing.  Where in the world did the time go?

Thirty years later I am watching the TV with Fudge sleeping next to me. It feels right. Now, I just hope Fudge and Vern don't celebrate too much later in the day. After all, it is their first Royal Wedding!!

Adina just addressed the guidelines the other day and the first one was Be Nice.....I am off to find out how I can report you.....LOL!

Yes you brat!

I wasn't even born when the queen got married so there!

I wasn't even born when Abe Lincoln got shot!!
Rooney and I got up at 3:45 a.m. to flip the switch on the coffee pot, feed kitty, go out to potty and be in front of the t.v. for the start of coverage at 4:00.  The wedding started out poopy, no not the couple or the really ugly hats that Beatrice & her sister wore (pay back for their mother not getting an invite?) but Rooney came inside with a stinky dingle berry.  Ug, I spent the first 30 minutes of coverage clipping poop and giving a butt wash - lol.  Rooney then declared a protest and slept through the entire wedding.  The bride and groom were so beautiful and loving to each other, I wish them years of happiness!  I too watched Diana get married as a young bride with a new baby.  I cried during the wedding thinking of how much she would have loved being there.
Count your blessings, Jane....at least you FOUND the dingleberry!  Our stray dingleberry has yet to be discovered, although I'm pretty sure now it's in Guinness's stomach.
I think that Guinness found it and he knew how much you were stressing out about it, so he gobbled it up because he knew that he would then be able to take it back outside and deposit it where it belongs!  He was only trying to help his Mom!
It was sad that she could not be there to see her son get married.
Rooney sure knows how to have a party!

England, thank you for sharing with the world such a beautiful day!  A fairy- tale style wedding full of tradition with a touch of  young modern class.  Wow.   Best Wishes.

Again thanks.  We all needed this day to remind us that not all is war and tragedy,  and that life and love still conquers all.

How true!
The cake is beautiful!!!!
Mmmmm....cake
