Charlie notices some of the very subtle sounds and knows exactly what that means!

Sound of poop bag unrolling ---- she hear this from another room and comes running! Time for walk!

Zipping up my briefcase -------------- I do my weekly paper work on Sunday night, and once I am done, I take it to the office to drop it off since its due every Monday morning. She hears this zzzzzz ! sound and knows its time for the car ride!

Chime sound the computer makes when I shut down --- Mom is done with the computer and is going to play with me!! She comes running with some sort of toy in her mouth!!

It never fails.. she could be comfortably sleeping on the couch, but when she hear these sounds, she knows!! How about your doodle?

LOL. Charlie loves it, too!!

Kyoko, so cute that Charlie recognizes the sound of unrolling poop bags!  And the chime of the computer--so cute!

I don't carry the poop bag holder. I just take two poop bags each time we go out, and she knows that slight sound of the poop bag getting unrolled and teared!

Popcorn in the microwave here as well.  That's the only people food they ever got, and they love it.  You can't eat popcorn in peace here.  Lucy is really good at catching them if you toss them in the air.  Sophie on the other hand was more of the why bother they will fall on the floor and be easier to get there type of girl!  They also used to be able to hear Mike come in the driveway from work even when I couldn't.

Fudge can hear a sneeze a mile away and hates sneezes. She will come from anywhere (slowly, like she is going someplace horrible), stand away from you, and just stare at you.  It is very weird :) Your Charlie has some good ears on her!

Laurie,  my last dog would do the same thing when we sneezed!   He always looked so concerned and I had to assure him we were okay.

Laurie, there's something spooky about this--it reminds me of that cat at the nursing home that would snuggle with the next person to die... ;)

My 100 year old great aunt was in a nursing home with the same type of cat.  When we visited she would say "Keep that G___ D____ cat out of my room!

awe... cute. I guess it makes her nervous?

Meg comes running for the leash drawer, the lid on the treat jar being unscrewed, the paper wrapper on the little cheese rounds being opened.  Terrified though at the sound of the train a full mile from the house...amazing how long she can go without going potty if the dreaded train is in the neighborhood.

She also hears an apple being sliced or even a grapefruit being peeled, 1 1/2 segments of grapefruit satisfies her.

Four days a week our son goes to work, and a van comes to pick him up.  Murph hears the sound of the van when it's a block away and barks (one bark).  It's how we always know the van is here, and DS grabs his coat and heads for the door.  It's really pretty funny, and we haven't figured out why he's doing this.  He's usually laying by my feet at this time of the morning....he hears it....stands up....lets out one bark...lies back down...the van pulls into the driveway.  That's my queue to go say goodbye to DS.

That's funny.
