Things my Doodle loves to do

[Debbie & Gibbs]

We've had Gibbs since November and he is really maturing into a very nice teenager. It's been so much fun watching him develop, learn and explore living with his peoples and 3 other doggies. He has been such a delight to attend puppy class with, can't wait to move on to intermediate and see how he does.

Yesterday was a first, Dan mowed the back yard and Gibbs is not liking the lawn mower at all. He ran to the patio and sat by the back door, he couldn't get inside fast enough. Funny thing was, he stood up at the kitchen window and watched him mow, but just needed to be a safe distance away from that mower. Gibbs also loves to sneak in the closet and steal slippers or tennis shoes, loves to surf through the dirty clothes basket and find those smelly socks to steal. Loves to grab his toys and parade them around them house tossing and chasing. Oh, getting big drinks of water with water dripping off his face and getting the whole kitchen floor wet, some of his favorite things to do. What does your Doodle really like to do?

[Crazy Doodle Lady]

Bear loves to jump on the counter and steal loaves of bread. His favorite toy is a Kong squeaky tennis ball and any of the 2 for 5 toys at Petco. He thinks he's outsmarting me at bedtime when he's suddenly hungry and has to eat first. Then when he finally finishes his snack he runs around trying to find his favorite toy of the day and heads to bed. Where he lays down directly on my pillow. Every single night lol

I totally forgot about counter surfing. Gibbs has grabbed the placemats and taken off running with them. Such bad manners, but it does crack me up. Oh, Gibbs runs in the kitchen when he hears anyone getting ice from the refrigerator. He sits very nicely so that you will give him a couple of pieces. They are amusing for sure.

Bear's worst habit is coming right up next to me when I am on the phone and belching into the phone. Hard to convince whoever is on the other end that it wasn't me!

That is too funny, blame the dog. My brother used to that years ago and blame the dog for gas.

Maserati loves to counter surf when he gets the chance and he knows the second the baby gate is down and he can sneak into the kitchen! He also loves to get big drinks and get everything wet!

Bailey loves to steal socks and pull the slippers out of shoes. He also, when no one sees him, steal food and when he's in the car and we're in the supermarket he likes to hop up on the seat behind the wheel.

Rue LOVESSS to paw at anything on the coffee table to knock it in the floor then sit with it. She also loves any and every kind of sock to chew on. When she hears someone get ice out of the freezer she bolts into the kitchen and waits. If you don't give her a cube, she lays down and gives you the sad face. In the morning when she thinks it's time to get up (around 6:32 on the dot) she will jump up on the bed and put her paw on my head and give me a big lick in the face. Doodles have such personalities! Love it!

When I sneeze Charlie likes to jump up and stand on top of me and sniff my face until she makes sure I'm OK.

[Robin and Libby Louise]

Libby is such a good girl - she doesn't steal anything or counter surf.  However there is a difference between being inherently good, which she is, and well trained, which she isn't.  Meaning she has that selective deafness when you are asking her to do something she doesn't want to do.  It's so funny but I try not to laugh because I think I have to be the winner of the battle.  For example, she has never been a beggar at the table, but lately she's getting very bold.  I was annoyed because I kept telling her "down" and she just acted like I wasn't talking.  So finally I marched her out of the kitchen and closed the gate.  She was not happy but she can't be the boss.  If only her mother would be the enforcer......But she is also really funny about certain foods like toast.  She can be sleeping upstairs but if she hears the toaster ding she's in the kitchen in a flash!
