Tonight-Shoot the Moon. The SuperMoon

We have an on going discussion in the photography group.  Shoot the Moon.  Many of these shots were taken with a telephoto lens.  Not tonight.  All you need is a regular camera or even your cell phone.  I'll be taking the music of Nora Jones with me ( thank you Donna).  Here is the music.

There are a lot of old legions about the SuperMoon: going insane, going blind.. anyway, it is powerful.

The moon will rise at 9:35 EST tonight.  The first hour or two is the best for capturing the moon.

I AM FURIOUS!  I am calling the Cleveland News NOW.  They told us all, 9:35 PM.  When I arrived everyone was leaving.  It was over by 9:15.

I was told it was low and pink and covered the horizon.  Everyone there said it was spectacular.  How nice for them.

Then, I met some people and we all gathered and talked about photography.  Suddenly, groves of people showed up-round 2 with tripods.  They were told 11:00 pm!  They  must have tuned into another area station.  Wrong AGAIN

Never believe the media.

I'll try again tomorrow.  I'll post what I have in a few minutes.

Joanne, Try this link for sun/moon rise/set times.  Just put your zip code in and it will tailor the times for your location.  (I have to add about 20 minutes to the time for moon due to woods to the east.

I love you mooner, Laurie.  You did really good.  When I got out the magnifying glass it was perfect.  At least it was not a blur like mine.  I think my moon got camera shake.  You know how big moons shake?  Oh forget it.
