took Chloe to the dog park last weekend

Took chloe to the dog park for the first time this year and this is what she did.  There were probably 20 or so other dogs there and none of them thought that thick black soup was some type of bed except chloe :P  I frantically started calling her and running in her direction when I saw her jump in and lay down...so what does she do when she hears me?  She dunks her head in the mud.  After that there was nothing left to save.  One of my friends said she looked like the undead.  lol

ha ha ha ha!!!  ROFL!! How did you get her home???  Bandit would have done the same thing... he loves mud!!

Oh, and I bet she had the time of her life rolling in all that mud.  Most of our Doodles are at their happiest when they look like Chloe does.  Yes, I too am curious as to how you got her home?  Is your car one big muddy mess?

OMG! I just can't imagine. It's good that you caught a photo. No one would believe how dirty Chole got. It must have taken 2 baths to get her clean.

Very funny. What a mess....LOL. Our Vern rolls in everything...at least, it was only mud...ha ha. When I saw you wrote thick black soup, I thought oh no............

The best part was that being early in the season the water main at the park was not turned on yet.  I had 1 bottled water in the car and 1 small towel so I just sucked it up.  I forwarded a pic to my wife warning her to get the hose outside ready and the bath ready.  She texted me.   "Neither of you are allowed back home"  lol

 

When I got back we hosed her down outside for about 15 minutes or so.  My wife had lined sheets all the way to the bathtub but I just carried her there to avoid more clean up.  I dunno how long I bathed her but it seemed like an hour lol.   Then I spent another half hour cleaning the car.  Here's what she looked like afterwards. Oh so innocent looking now:

Aw, look at her, so happy and proud.

Porter would have been in the mud with Chloe. He also likes to dunk his face and I've even seen him blow bubbles like a hippo. 

He's been in our town duck pond.  Nasty...i.e. Delicious!

Looks like Chloe had a great time.... my Shelby would have done the same thing.  Fortunately our dog park has a hose near the exit to deal with matters such as this.  And... I always have a big towel in the back of my car!  Love the after pic... she looks so sweet!
