Totally off topic - What to give a friend who will be celebrating her 50th bday soon?

A massage! Take her out for Happy Hour. A bird bath. A beautiful plant that she is dreaming of....some beautiful pots. She sounds like she has some great interests so that makes it easier. We recently cooked a candle-lit dinner and wrote a poem for a friend who was celebrating a milestone birthday, she was so delighted.

Are you a creative- type person? Or, know someone that is? :-)  My friend made me a lovely mosaic stepping stone for my garden that I really cherish.

She's into making her own soaps and stuff. I found a great book regarding growing herbs that included recipes from oils, soaps, and edibles. So, then I put together an planter full of herbs and decorated it up (I'm a little crafty, but just barely). :D I had planned on getting her this great apron I saw on etsy, but then as I was holding off on my decision, the shop closed for a few weeks. So, went with plan b to make the herb garden in the planter.
