My goldendoodle Paisley is 11 months old and I want to switch her to adult food I will also be switching brands. I now feed Blue Buffalo large breed puppy and I'm considering switching to either Orijen or Acana. What is the best way to go about switching to a new food?

Have you researched the Food Group? There is a wealth of knowledge in there and I know it has been addressed before. Generally when switching from one recommended good food to another of equal or greater quality, you can switch either gradually by adding the new food slowly to the old food, or in a lot of cases, just switch. But check the discussions in the FG and you will become familiar with the suggestions and can make an educated decision. Good luck and is there any reason you are switching from BB?
Thanks for your reply. I didn't know there was a seperate board for food discussions. I want to switch from BB because my dog does not get excited about eating. She doesn't seem to enjoy it and I thought she may need a change.

We switched Daisy's food (twice actually) over a period of about a week, slowly adding 1/3 of the new food for a few days, then 1/2 new food for a few days, then 2/3 of new food for a few days, etc. until she was totally transitioned. People definitely say you can just switch cold turkey (which is true) but this worked well for us and Daisy NEVER had any tummy problems. We switched her to Acana grasslands. :)
