Vet checked my doodle pup and said not to worry it was just cosmetic. The vet said I could have it removed when I have her spayed. Well after checking the internet I have started to panic. I will take her to another vet for their opinion. Has anyone ever had to deal with this. Anxious in Midlothian.

Roy, it's fairly common and really nothing to worry about. You really do not need a second opinion. I'm not sure what kinds of sites you visited on the internet, but it's wise to stick to those that are fact based. Read this, I think it will make you feel better: https://vcahospitals.com/know-your-pet/hernia-umbilical-in-dogs

Thanks I feel better.

Roo, my dog, had an umbilical hernia, as did Richard, my son.  No worries, they are common and often heal themselves.

Yes, our Fudge had this and the breeder actually reduced her price because of it. It caused her NO problems and was fixed when we spayed her. I have found when I look on the Internet for different things, it can make anyone panic. I would find a great vet and put my faith in him/her versus the Internet.
