Hello Doodle Kisses,
Of course, a lot of you know Hurley and what he has been going through. I have been giving updates on how he is doing and the remarkable healing of his infection. With your prayers and support Hurley's infection is gone. He went to Dr. Genovese today who looked him over and says he is confident that the infection is killed. He is keeping Hurley on his antibotics until he gets his surgery. Next Wednesday Hurley will meet with the surgeon and more than likely ok the surgery. Dr. Genovese said Hurley will probably have it Friday, May 4th or the week of the 7th!! We won't know for sure because the surgeon has to agree with what Dr. G said. You all have seen the pictures..his cysts have really healed up and ready to come off!
So, I know we are going to be getting ready for a long road soon. Dr. G warned me, which I knew, he will have his whole head shaved. They have to make sure that they get the entire cyst out. If a little is left it can grow back and become more agressive. The first surgery will be the removal of the cysts between his eyes. This is going to be the toughest one. They are still pretty big, his hair is starting to cover them up. These are the ones I worry about. I am keeping positive that the cysts will be removed entirely. It's ok that he will look a little funny...I am thinking all that hair that will eventually grow back will cover it up. Oh my goodness..getting a little nervous..
Thank you all for the outpouring of prayers, support, advice and donations. You all are so amazing. I cannot tell you enough of how thankful I am for you. The Doodle Messenger will be announcing something amazing soon about Hurley!!!! My mission now is to be a number 1 supporter of Doodle Messenger. I am contuining to blog and asking for people to link to Doodle Messenger and help a doodle in need. My kids and I went to another local pet store today and asked to post a flyer about The Doodle Messenger and all the help Hurley has received. They posted it on their board.
Today I got behind a woman who was driving her car. She had "I Love My Goldendoodle" sticker on the back and her license had something of "doodle" in it. I noticed she pulled up to the vet office and I introduced myself and Hurley! I gave her a flyer and talked about Doodle Messenger, which she knew of the website, and Doodle Kisses!! I am going to keep working hard for people to check out The Doodle Messenger and help if they can.
You all know that I will keep giving updates and posting pictures about Hurley. You can also check out his blog too...this is one way of how I am going to "Pay It Forward". I will be writing about Hurley and then asking for people to check out The Doodle Messenger and help one of Hurleys friends that are in need. Please help keep it going by sending his blog to friends too!
