Urgent - Dog In Need of Assistance

I hate to ask this of anyone but I didn’t know where else to post this.  I received this link concerning a doodle in Illinois that needs immediate assistance as he is currently in a high kill shleter.  In fact it may be too late for this dog but the post is still active on PetFinder so I’m praying and crossing my fingers AND posting here in case someone can help.  Unfortunately, I’m not close enough to Illinois to go pick him up but I’m hoping someone is.

Thanks Joanne, I was so unnerved about this sweet dog I just didn't know what to do.  I can only hope we're not too late!  I sure do wish I were closer than I am, I'd be hollerin' ROADTRIP at the top of my lungs.

I know that the DRC (or at least Adrianne) is aware of this doodle as there is a post on the DRC FB page.  Someone had called and Adrianne was trying to find out what was said.  So I know they are on it if at all possible.

"dew drop" eyes.

I was ready to adopt him and called on Monday night, and the person who answered the phone said Trusty is adopted that day.
