Was wondering if getting a dog gps tracker is good.

Depends. What are you gonna use the dog tracker for?
I don't have a GPS but Teddy has a FitBark which I really like.
I am quite interested in following this discussion.
Any of the trackers that I have read about have a very limited range -- maybe 100 feet at the most. They advertise a much broader area, because others in their networks can search for your lost item (like a wallet) or even a pet.
I have had a Pixie, range limited to 150 feet for finding keys etc, although it comes with Pixie dogtag holder!?
I also have Whistle. It charges a monthly fee but is good over a long range. Have tested it by putting Tigger (my runner) in the car. It gives you a general area like "near 100 Hillcrest Blvd and updates very frequently. Would be useful but Tigger's I got at Christmas and it no longer will take a charge properly. Charges quickly, but must be removed from collar to charge and then replaced, but your phone reminds you to both charge and replace.
I saw a post about this new dog gps tracker called Trackidog, is it any good?
