We are now a DOUBLE DOODLE family!

We brought home Doodle #2 today! 

Little Zuzu (formal name Zuzu's Flower-bonus points if you get the movie reference) joins big brother Rooney who is 4 years old.

So far they are doing very well together but we are keeping everything very supervised and calm. Rooney has been quite gentle and restrained but occasionally shows signs of really wanting to PLAY with her and she's just too tiny still for that (he's a moose). But he's being very patient and she is accepting his gentle corrections well.

So crazy to be starting the whole puppy thing all over again!! Aaack! But wonderful too!

Just so cute. Looks about like our two when we got Maci. I remember Being impressed with how gentle Yogi was with her.
They have been such awesome friends. Sounds like your two will be also if they are already getting along.
I did question myself for about a minute when we started the puppy stuff again, but it was so worth it.

I went back and looked at your post when you brought home Maci. SOOOO cute!! I'm happy to hear they are good friends now. I think Rooney and Zuzu will be too, especially once the size difference isn't so worrisome. Today Rooney has really started to seem happy to have her around and has often been the one initiating playtime. He does really well but he's started using his paws to pin her down, so we intervene when he does that. It just puts her at too much of a disadvantage and she will whimper to get away. But then she comes right back for more so I can tell she isn't TOO traumatized! :)

Annie is beautiful and Zuzu off the charts cute.  Are Zuzu and Rooney from the same breeder?

Yes, they are! They are actually related as well. Rooney's mom is Zuzu's grandmother! So both Rooney and Zuzu's mom had the same mom (but different litters and different fathers). I guess that makes him Uncle Rooney. :-) 

I don't want to jinx it but so far Zuzu is a dream! She is sleeping all night in her crate and already whines to go outside to potty. Plus she's just a little sweetie who is so much fun to have around. Right now she's batting her paws gently at my feet letting me know she wants to play. :)
