What a Fun Weekend, by Jack Daniels.

Finally I got some one on one attention without having to share my mom or grammie with anyone.. First we went on a long car ride to Hilton Head!!!!!!

Ready MOM lets go!!! I have my seat belt on!!!Next stop Hilton Head wooooooooooot woooooooooooooooooooot... (well maybe the rest area since mommy has a bladder the size of a pea)

 

I got to stay in very nice hotel, this time we didn't get a first floor room, so I got to ride in an elevator. I almost got my paw stuck in the gap of the door and the wall but I got it out quick...I jumped on the bed and made myself at home..

 

I loved the elevator until it started to move.. Then I was wondering what was going on.????

We went and did some paper work then I got to play in the DOG PARK AGAIN.. Mom is such a worry wart.... She thinks I am bossy but really I am just being a dog, and everyone said I play so nice even with the big old dogs that could eat me in one half of a bite

These are my new buddies, some of them I met last time... So after a long while off we went, mom said something about dinner but first we had to go shopping, I hate shopping, especially when I have to sit in one of these things.

 

Seriously, my mom knows I know how to heel walk, I mean duh she is the one who taught me how, I have no idea why she got mad at me when I kept jumping out of the cart onto anything I could find.. I am not a baby anymore I am two years old Geeze...

 

She quickly made up for it by taking me out with Grammie to a fancy schmancie restaurant. They even had a menu for dogs, I got served a huge bowl of water and ice, a mat to sit on and I had my choice of dog food. Mom ordered me a local organic dog food called Happy Dog and I ate that with some grilled chicken.. I know I look a little drunk in this next picture but the people next to us were totally dog gone drunk and I think I was breathing in their fumes... I had a great time and stole the attention away from the live band that was playing, everyone wanted to play and pet me, Now I know how the celebrities feel, can't eat a meal in peace!!

Next I got to go back to the hotel and we slept for the night, Woke up in the morning and mom took me right back to the dog park, This time as we went through the security gate, the security guy told us that a copper head snake was just reported to be found in dog park.. Mom embarrassed me by asking if she was on Candid camera, and then proceeded to ask if they also found an alligator in there too.. The guard told me mom, I need to suck it up and learn to live one with nature... Silly guard has no idea what a nut job my mom is with gators and snakes but I am proud of my mom, she took me to the park and we found out that no one saw the snake, he went back into the woods so I played for a long while while mommy put the moves on a guy there.. yup I heard my mom lie about her age, this time she said she was older then she really is... WTD????  My mom told me later it was just a small lie because everyone who lives there is 50 and up..  HEHEHEHE... I like the guys dog she was a doxipoo, sort of cute too.

 

So after a long car ride home, I am pooped, Mom is trying to figure out how to move us to Hilton Head where a dog can be a dog.. and I am going to sleep and dream of the wonderful weekend I had.

I know I am a dirty, sandy mess. But I am content if my mom would PLEASE stop taking my picture and let me sleep. This is my "leave me alone " look

That is so funny, Pup-arazzi!!! I love it....Jack handles his celebrity status well unless he is tired or hungry.. (he gets that from my mom) sorry mom!!

Wow, what a great weekend you had Jack!  I got to go to the beach today and chase my tennis ball in the water and jump the waves.  Then to the doggie wash for a bath and home again.  I would love to have stayed in a hotel like you did!  Love, Gracie Doodle

Gracie doodle, I love the beach, I would love to spend the day there playing. Jack's favorite thing to do is to chase the seagulls. I can't let him run loose, he forgets himself and chases them forever!!!!

Jack it sure sounds like a really great weekend, glad you didn't see any old snakes. The restaurant with the dog menu sounds amazing. Do you think people accidently order off the dog menu for themselves, that would be really funny.

I don't know about the other people ordering it, apparently in Hilton Head it is common to bring your dog out to eat. I did hear a few comment about the fact that Jack was served on a dish, but then you could hear other people say that is was a "dog dish" it did have all pictures of dogs on it and was clearly different then the dishes they used to serve people food on,

 

I know before Jack I would have puked if I thought a dog was eating off the same plate as me!!! My mom who was more OCD germ freak then  me did not want to eat her dinner last night until Jack was served his.. You know it is bad when I am saying "mom he is a dog eat!!" She protested he is our family.. Molly Rose is going to be spoiled rotten,

 

As far as snakes, I want to train him to stay away from snakes and I have been talking to a lot of people about keeping Jack safe from alligators, Her community has a lot of alligators, a lot because it is still being developed in an area that was highly populated with gators..

 

I actually heard a story of someone putting up an electric fence to keep their dog in the yard, you can not gate in your yard in Sun City, and their dog was stuck in the electric fence as the gator chased them, and finally got him.

 

For the most part they say use common sense but people are reporting them to be in driveways, hiding under cars and you can go to walk your dog and OMG

Jack for sure can be a spoiled dood, but it is me that gets the most enjoyment out of it.

What a great weekend, Jack!  That sounds like a lot of fun.  I get to stay in hotels when we go to flyball tournaments, but they are nothing fancy.  And I almost never get to go to restaurants with my mom.  I'm glad you had such a good time.  Your friend, Halas.

Jack - I'm so envious!  I've been stuck on this computer for the whole weekend, writing a report for work.  I guess that's what happens when one procrastinates!  Anyhow, I'm so glad you and your mom had such a good time.
