What am I doing wrong?

I just don't understand how everyone but me has so much time to be on DK? And to play games!!!

I barely have time to read all the interesting posts, let alone participate in the games that keep popping up. I just don't get it.

I only work 32 hours a week, I have no young children, I hardly cook meals, I have the usual cleaning, shopping and doodle maintence, so how is it I see so many here for hours and hours playing games?

What am I doing wrong? How do you do it? Do you have a little computer you carry everywhere with you? Do you have a beep or sound to alert you when a new post is made so you are notified right away? I must be missing something....

Thanks, F, for your support :) Oh shoot, I wasn't going to reply...now Fudge and Vern are up and think I need to take them out or something. Selfish doodles :) Next, my DH will be home and expect conversation or something. When will it end?

Yeah Laurie, they will never guess you are one of "those" people!!  I would actually like to be one of those people, but I just can;t seem to make it work.

Is there a new game?  Did I miss another new game? It depends on the day for me.  Some days, I can spend lots of time on DK.  Other days, I have to waste time on things like work and errands.  But I do get behind on DK during the week.  But then I end up with 500 unread e-mails, so it just makes more sense to make a better effort to try to keep up during the week.

Haha Leslie, no you didn't miss a new game.  I too get behind on Dk during the week, but if I'm up on DK, I'm behind on work and errands and other stuff. No happy medium. Oh and ofcourse the doodle and husband want attention ALL the time, so what's a girl to do?

it's easy. I go to work, sit in my cubicle and  click refresh on the forum every few minutes. Every once in a while I check my work email and make a phone call, but for the most part, DK is like a full time job. Good thing that things are slow at work lately. If I were busy, It would be very hard to keep up with my workload given all my DK duties.

 

I actually regret the day I found out i could access DK from work. Facebook and private email like hotmail are all blocked on our server. For good reason too lol!

 

Sometimes i feel guilty because Sophie is squeaking her toys incessantly in my lap and I just ignore her while I'm reading something funny on the forum. Then I finally give in when I can't take the squaking anymore and I take her out. :)

 

Also, What is this "housework" thing you speak of???

Full-time on DK?  Just reading Laurie's blogs and comments to them takes up a whole day.  You would really need an assistant to keep up on everything happening on DK.  Mental note:  look into winter intern to read Laurie's blogs and responses to me during tax season.

Yes, the ole refresh key at work...... Not that I'm saying that's what I do! Like right now, I'm on break. :)  I barely have enough time to read all the posts, let alone respond to them.  I feel ashamed at times that I'm just not available like some of you guys/gals.  But I'm not ashamed of this obsession to read everything ever posted on DK.

What do you do for work Sherri?  Most everything BUT DK is allowed at my work, so I have to just look at my iphone 20 times a day to keep up, but can't respond.
