I need some suggestions on how to make Sheba look more girly.  EVERYONE calls her a boy.  Is it because of her color and the fact that she has a beard (which I adore)?   : )  lol

I thought I'd start with a new collar and tag.   I find it hard to find a collar that looks good with her coat color. Also, it needs to be sturdy as she is a VERY active dog.  Any suggestions on what color collar would look good on her but make her look more feminine?  I'm stumped.

Here is what she is wearing now.  I bought it at REI which sells camping and sporting goods. I found that it snags easily and doesn't hold up too well.  (Not the greatest photo of the collar, sorry!)  The collar does look kinda boyish, I guess.

Here are a couple photos that show her coat color.  Oh, and speaking of her coat color, does anyone want to make a suggestion on what color she is?  Sable?  Merle? Brindle?

I still don't know!

And of course her winter look....

Thanks for the suggestions!!

Definitely pink or lavender. As far as her coat, Sheba reminds me of our foster Brogan who was a brindle.
I just checked out your page and looked at a picture of Brogan. He is gorgeous! Thanks for your input on her coat color and collar colors, Nina.
Here is the sad part. I think it is the color of her coat. I have the same problem with Lucy. I can have a pink bow (collar scrunchie) and I mean big bow, I can tell people she is a girl, and they still refer to her as "he" ...... they just don't get it! I love red with the black dogs, but that isn't necessarily feminine. I have a collar scrunchie like this one that is lite blue and pink with poodles on it, and they still call her a boy. Sophie is always a girl, and Lucy is always a boy!

Thank you for the posting the pictures, Sheri. Gosh, it may be that Lucy and Sheba and female dogs of their coloring will always be boys in the eyes of others. Because of Sheba's coloring people think she is quite a bit older. They are surprised to hear that she is only around 19 mo. old. Lucy is beautiful in her red bow and I think she looks very girly!!
The only other thing with Lucy and Sophie that I can think of that might make them think Lucy is a boy is that she is over 15 lbs bigger than Sophie so maybe size alone leads them that way.
Very well could be in your case. Sheba is a couple inches shorter than Duke and about 15 lbs lighter.
It's funny, even when Duke had long hair and his male part was covered up, mostly everyone called him a boy. Actually, Sheba acts more boy like than Duke does! lol
How cute is this bow...scrunchy bow?....where did you get this?....Comiskey almost always wears pink and because of her name...everyone calls her a boy...I want this bow....or at the very least I will make this bow!
Ann - have you seen the Up Country collars? Those are the ones I ALWAYS get for Peri - they have awesome designs. I will post some here.
By the way, Sheba's gorgeous! Who really cares if people think she is a boy. Everyone thinks Peri's a boy because of the name.
Wow, they have a lot of beautiful collars too! You're right, I shouldn't care if people think she's a boy. Most of the time it doesn't bother me. I guess it's just on those days when I get up on the wrong side of the bed that it does. lol Due to Sheba's allergies she tends to scratch around her neck so I need something sturdy that doesn't snag. Thanks Allyson!
Aaah - got it about the snagging! I agree with F about a rosy pink. That would look gorgeous with her coloring.
A rosy pink would be really good. Sheba is definitely a mix of colors, not one. I wonder if she could a merle.
