I am getting ready to place an order for ID tags for my two doodle girls. I was wondering what other doodles have on their tags. Address? How many phone numbers? Anything else? Thanks for any feedback!
Boomerang tags are the ones we also use. I learned about them here on DK. It was hard to decide what info to put on it. We're expecting to move soon, so we didn't include our address. Right now his ID tag has:
Dog's Name
Owner's Name
Phone Number (cell)
Microchip ID Number
Microchip Phone Number (toll-free)

name, address and then my husband's cell and my cell which are always on. We figure we'd be out looking. Then his collar has his name and my husband's cell embroidered in, then he has his license and chip ID tag hanging too. He jangles a lot! No such thing as overkill!!!
Name
Address
Phone
Then I put Medication Needed ( but Spud is not on Meds) --someone told me that many will not try to keep your dog or take your dog if they think the dog is High Maintenance. Instead they would try to get the dog help right away.
I also heard not to put the dogs name on the tags either for the same reason.
Name and phone number on front and Avid Micro chip # on back. Eliminated the micro chip tag which was plastic and gonna fall off eventually anyway. Might get one with address onit. Did you check out Etsy.com under Pets and Tags? They have some beautiful hand made copper ones that are very afforable and unique.
I never thought to put the chip number on the tag- good idea. I use boomerang also.
I have heard recommendation not to put the dog's name on the tag. Not sure if that is good or not. Purpose is if someone is trying to "kidnap" or keep a lost dog they would know the name and the dog would take to them?'
I do have Tucker's name on the tag.
I got stainless tags because the pet store tag stained Luca's fur. Mine has pet name, address, home and cell phone #s and vaccinated, lic, microchip. It also has vet phone #. I don't have them wear more than that and Avid tag . I recently got a plastic, supposedly glow in the dark (I haven't seen it)g, ring that I put around the Avid tag. No jingling. Don't get those clips that fasten easily to change from one collar to another. They open or break and tags could get lost.
